Congrats Mike and Jane!

My brother and Jane got married this weekend!  The wedding was awesome.... definitely my second favorite ever .  After seeing Mike and Jane grow in their relationship for the past six years, it was a huge blessing to see them tie the knot.

Bachelor Party

For Mike's bachelor party we went paintballing, and gave him this special shirt to wear.

Later that night we went to a comedy club.  This dude called Mike on stage to participate in one of the improv skits.  He asked Mike, "Quick, say the first word that comes to your head."  Without hesitation, Mike says "SPARTICUS!".   Haha!  Classic Mike.  So the whole skit revolved around Sparticus with Mike ad-libbing lines from some random play script.

Wedding Day

My lovely wife

Groomsmen.  When else in life do you get to wear a pink tux?

This is what Mike refers to as "my good side"

Our cousin Emily and her two little girls

My cousin Jeff.  You can see who got the tall genes in the family.

Off to St. Lucia for the honeymoon.  I'm jealous.

The Zoo

Headed to the Brookfield Zoo on Sunday with the family

Cameron, Andine and their son Andron.  Cameron pastors a church in St. Vincent, an island in the Caribean.  When I was a kid, he was attending Moody Bible Institute and would stay at our house over breaks.  He's become a very good friend of the family and a dear brother in Christ.

Dad with his tradmark terminator glasses.

Monkey!!!  (i really like monkeys)  Brookfield Zoo has the best monkey house.  I could just sit and watch all day.

Zimmer family

Before leaving for Champaign, we went to the restaurant we ate at last year the night before leaving for our honeymoon.

Pregnancy Moments

So they say one side effect of pregnancy is absent mindedness. Being loopy all my life, it's nice now to have a  9 month period of time when I can blame it on something else.
(Edit: see... loopy from the very beginning. That's me on the right )

So here are my top two preggo moments in the last WEEK.

Green Curry
Dave and I were excited about the spring vegetables starting to show up at the grocery store so we bought some zucchini and cooked a big pot of curry. Halfway through the meal I got up to get a second soda.

(Raspberry diet rite... my favorite!) Returning to my seat I promptly poured half the can into my bowl of curry before realizing what I was doing.

Last night I attended Maundy Thursday service, with the tags of my new sweater proudly dangling in my left armpit. I walked up there for communion and everything! And we're not just talking about one tag... it had FOUR tags handing from one plastic thingy as well as a little plastic bag of extra thread that came with the sweater! If you were sitting behind me and found some amusement from this, can I get some eprops?

Sorry Xanga buddies. We must clarify. The "ITS A BOY" announcement came after our second ultrasound that showed this cute little foot, among other unmentionables that clued us in to his gender.

The ticker in the previous entry is live. We've still got some time to go.

As for the much requested name, we welcome your suggestions. Though we'll have to keep our ideas secret until we meet him and feel sure whatever we choose is a good fit.

Praise God for all He is doing! It's been a crazy past 12 months. So much has happened: new jobs for both of us, a blessed wedding and honeymoon, purchased our first home, Dave started Columbia Bible Seminary and in June our lives will change a lot more.

We'll try to post our lessons learned as we head down this fun new road of becoming parents. But right now we're just in learning mode. Please pray for all 3 of us!
